Rescue Reel is a personal escape device developed after 9/11 that allows someone of any size or weight to exit a building safely and unassisted. The Rescue Reel device was the subject of a recent TED talk in Long Beach by its founder, Kevin R. Stone, MD a San Francisco orthopaedic surgeon.
